Terms, Code of Ethics & Declaration

LCCI Terms & Conditions
  • Subscription fees are payable immediately on joining LCCI. Subscriptions are paid annually at the beginning of every year — between January and March — and may not be refunded.
  • Notice of resignation of membership must be in writing and received by the LCCI Secretary in the particular district one month prior to the effective date. Failing this, the full subscription fee for the year will be payable.
  • Thereafter fees are payable between January and March of every year for ordinary members and upon receipt of invoice for Associates and Affiliates.
  • Members may use the LCCI logo to indicate membership. However, LCCI shall not be responsible for the quality of service or endorsement of any product. Permission to use the logo must be requested and approved.
  • Membership shall be granted subject to approval of the LCCI Management Board and then ratified by the Executive Board.
  • It is the member's responsibility to inform LCCI in writing of any changes to address, telephone numbers, staff, and any other relevant information.
  • Should membership fees not be paid as stipulated, LCCI reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership.
  • Members shall be issued certificates of identity of LCCI membership.
  • Members are required to sign and adhere to LCCI's Code of Business Ethics.
Code of Business Principles (Summary)
  • Employment: Committed to mutual fairness, respect, trust, and good communication. Recruitment based solely on qualifications and abilities. Safe working conditions guaranteed. No use of coerced or child labour.
  • Accountability: Registered VAT-paying company. Provide full VAT invoices to customers. Pay company taxes. Import goods through correct legal channels. Respect intellectual property rights. Provide consistent quality products or services.
  • Community: Committed to being good corporate citizens. Cooperate with Government. Mutual beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and partners.
  • Environment: Committed to environmentally sustainable business practices.
  • Integrity: Fair competition. Transparency. No bribes or improper payments. Employees must not seek gain by misusing their position.
